This comic was created for High Water, a book of comics on the subject of global warming.
In particular I wanted to focus on the mindset of some global warming denialists. They often see themselves as modern day Galileos - erroneously, breaking away from the scientific establishment and proposing new truths. They relish casting themselves in the role of persecuted geniuses. This was my inspiration for the strip. As an editorial cartoonist, often caught up in short-term news cycles, High Water gave me the opportunity to express my own perspective on one of the most important long-term issues of this century.
