The 1920s through to the 1960s was the undisputed 'Golden Age' of cross-continental rail travel. Iconic routes such as the pan-European Orient Express remain the very pinnacle of luxury travel, romantic and alluring unlike any other mode of transport.
The Rolls-Royce 'Pinnacle Travel' Phantom, which I created during my time in the company's Bespoke Design studio, pays homage to that glorious era. It likens travelling long distances in the rear seat of a Phantom to the experience of a relaxing voyage on the Orient Express.
To inspire and to help tell the story behind the project, I produced this series of posters. The first describes the overall theme, with as much visual draw as possible, with the next three posters looking at each mode of inter-continental travel: Land, Sea and Air.
