Flower Market
Floral analogies have been employed to describe various attributes of femininity in art, literature and thought at least since the middle age. In this poster, I use flowers as metaphorical subject matter to address issues and emotions associated with the topic of female sexuality. Flower Market is a visual representation of the female sexual exploitation industry. Most of us want to end sexual slavery, but the commercial sex industry, which is the very lifeblood of trafficking, is increasingly tolerated. Commercial sex market and sex trafficking are symbiotically related; the latter simply would not exist without the former.
