ADIDAS ULTRABOOST MID _ PROTOTYPE colorway
During the development of the Ultraboost Mid, we tried many different constructions and material executions.
As, at that time, factories didn’t have correct materials in correct colors, they sent us the first prototypes made of substitute materials in random colors.
Along the process, we selected the best construction and moved to step two with working on the first colorway and released the Ultraboost Mid x KITH in the end of 2016 with the success we know.
In the following months, the first prototypes were still laying around the office and we realized they were actually a pair (left and right).
There, we looked at it from another angle and we came up with the idea of releasing the pair as it was, with random and asymmetric colors and calling it “Ultraboost Mid prototype”.
