Tyneside Cinema
Exposure was produced as part of Random Acts North’s talent development programme. Random Acts North is a partnership between Tyneside Cinema (Newcastle), HOME (Manchester), and True North Productions (Leeds). Exposure is a guide for artist filmmakers to help make the most of distribution and exhibition platforms for short films and artists’ moving image.
Everything were commissioned to design and produce this hugely useful toolkit, aiming at young filmmakers aged 24 and under.
A minimal and modern design style was created which would appeal to the specified younger audience. Large and interesting typography was utilised throughout and a reduced but bold colour palette of red, black and blue was used, grabbing instant attention to the reader.
Exposure was featured at the prestigious Playback Festival which brings together the work of over 300 emerging artists in one interactive exhibition of short experiment films. Playback festival is the culmination of a year-long tour that travelled the breadth of England, appearing at 20 arts venues from Newcastle to Plymouth and visited by over 50,000 people.
