RATIONALE

When a seed is planted it requires water, oxygen, temperature and light. The seed changes first to the primary roots, which allows the seedling to be anchored in the ground. After the roots absorbs water, a shoot emerges from the seed. The shoot marks the start of exponential growth. Similarly to buttery, eggs are laid on plants, which become the food for the hatching caterpillar.
The caterpillar is the feeding stage. When the caterpillars fully grown and stops eating, it becomes the pupa. Pupa is the transition stage where a lot of development occurs before the adult stage, which is the buttery. The seedling and buttery in relevance to Hamba Legacy Education Fund, shows how the initiative will transform the lives of the beneficiaries economically, socially and educationally.
