ELEVATED PARK
Currently the bridge is considered as an “urban piece” compositional of the urban morphology and the social imaginary of Villa 31. It has a double identity, it is born of a rational and evident principle: contributing to the mobility of the city of Buenos Aires, but, it’s implementation on top of existing foundations from the decade of the 90s currently creates a second, less rational and more invisible, identity; the one of dividing the neighborhood into sections that are socially exclusionary and that separate it from the “dialog” of the rest of the city.This “urban piece”, clearly fragments and interrupts the physical continuity and the urban flow of the city to this neighborhood.In consequence social interaction and environmental coherence surrounding Villa 31 do not participate in its “atmosphere” but more just around it; consolidating its character of informality.Specifically speaking, the bridge or “urban piece” by it’s infrastructural nature “imposes” forces that redirect and continually influences the growth of the settlements In height and the illegal appropriation of the territory, contributing to a “disorganized growth logic” and a “way of inhabiting” that is completely unique in Buenos Aires.This intuitive “logic” of distribution of the settlements is evident in the formal nature of the bridge, increasing and decreasing the height and specially in it’s highest spot (on top of a fragment of Avenida del Inmigrante, in the way to work, the way to hope, the adjacent servitude on top the train track and the parallel avenue to the Puente Avenida del presidente Ramon Castillo), the social and road formal guidelines of Villa 31.
At the same time, the “urban piece” contributes to the social dispersion of the local in the settlements, provoking “invisible unexpected cycles”, “as an immutable and untouchable atmosphere” that is usually perceived as insecure in some areas and hours of the day, specially under the “urban piece” that creates residual areas where the trail of natural structures linked to the feeling of economical “poverty”, health and spirit, looks like it is consolidating. ¿What would happen if this “urban piece” is the paradox that detonates the social, biological and urban continuity of this area in Buenos Aires?

Actualmente, el puente se percibe como una “pieza urbana” compositiva de la morfología urbana y el imaginario social de, y, en, la villa 31. Tiene una doble identidad, que nace de un principio racional y evidente: el de contribuir a la movilidad vial para toda la ciudad de buenos aires pero, su implantación sobre asentamientos existentes en la década de los 90, provoca actualmente una segunda identidad, menos racional e invisible; la de dividir y la de excluir socialmente sectores dentro del barrio y “del dialogo” del mismo con el resto de la ciudad. la “pieza urbana” ,claramente, fragmenta e “interrumpe” la lógica de continuidades físicas y flujos urbanos de la ciudad con y hacia el barrio. En consecuencia, en la villa 31, la interacción social, y la coherencia ambiental que la envuelven, no participan de la “atmosfera de la villa” y más bien, solo la rodean consolidando su carácter informal. Puntualmente, el puente o “ pieza Urbana” por su naturaleza de infraestructura, “impone” fuerzas que re direccionan e influyen continuamente en el crecimiento de los asentamientos en altura y la apropiación ilegal del territorio, contribuyendo a una “lógica de crecimiento más desordenada” a una “forma de habitabilidad”, completamente particular dentro de Buenos Aires. Esta “lógica” de redistribución intuitiva de asentamientos, se evidencia, por la naturaleza formal del puente, haciendo de las diferentes alturas que se incrementan y disminuyen, y sobretodo en su punto más alto, (sobre un tramo de la avenida del inmigrante. camino del trabajo, camino esperanza, la servidumbre colindante sobre las vías del tren y la avenida paralela al puente avenida presidente Ramón Castillo) , las directrices formales, viales y sociales de la villa 31. Paralelamente, “ la pieza urbana”, contribuye a la dispersión social local en los asentamientos, provocando “ciclos invisibles” inesperados, “como una atmosfera inmutable e intocable” que se percibe regularmente en una continua sensación de inseguridad, de algunas áreas y horarios, y principalmente, bajo “la pieza urbana” que provoca zonas residuales, donde la pérdida del rastro de estructuras biológicamente naturales, ligada a la sensación de “pobreza” económica, salud y espíritu, “pareciera”, se consolidara. ¿Que sucedería si, esta “pieza urbana” es, la paradoja para detonar la continuidad urbana, social y biológica de esta zona de Buenos Aires?
