The Smiley Project utilized incredible attention to detail while using the pen tool, and freehand scaling/proportions. This character that's been turned into a smiley face is none other than Spiderman. While working in illustrator, creating all the curved lines for the web and the mask helped me learn about manipulating lines and even the eyes needed to be curved with the pen tool as well. The line proportions on his face were tricky sometimes in dealing with making sure the lines all come in centered at the middle of his face.
