HOW WAS THIS MADE?
This is a self portrait made in 2 parts. First, with a tripod, I shot myself holding nothing, pretending I had the camera flying above my hand. Second, I hung my Canon 80D (my backup camera) with shoe laces and got a shot of it flying under the same conditions of lighting and space. After that, photoshop time! I cut the background off the picture of the 80D camera and erased the strings. I then edited the model of the camera, as my main equipment is the 5D Mark IV and added some lights and color corrections to it.
I also did a second version of this image adding a brick wall background and even though I like the result, I think the first version enhances the subject itself, as there is not as much information on it.
