Here are all of the welded sculptures I am using in the degree show. The addition to these sculptures are the extentions that come of the outer of the frame to the center. I have welded them slightly risen to produce a 3D effect, these protrude from the wall to create extra interest when light/projection is shone through the sculptures. This was one of the most important things for me to show with these sculptures is how the light abstracts the sculptures further, as you can see this happening when the sculptures are layered up together, but with light you can control up to a point the density of black within the shadows, creating extra depth through the piece. Also, I'm excited to see what my paintings are going to look like when projected over the top of the sculptures, the element of colour is going to bring more life to the piece, as the sculptures are made out of steel, it makes them seem cold and unappealing.
