In our Graphic design class, we had the task of recreating a city/state flag. After being given introductions to keep the flag simple, use a maximum of 3 colors, and truly represent the place that you are creating the flag for. I chose to do the flag of Orange County. I chose this because my parents both grew up in Orange County, California and I have spent many summers there. There were a lot of vibrant colors in the original flag which honestly made my eyes hurt. I liked the involvement of the orange because that is the name of the county, but there are also many orange trees throughout the county. For my design, I chose to simplify the flag into 3 colors. I chose blue because it is in California and a=close to many because and there are many ponds in this area. I chose orange because of the name of the county and because of the amount of orange trees. Then I created a simple icon of an orange to represent everything that I have said so far.
