The symbol of the conifer cone (or a pinya in catalan) refers to the structure of the castell that reinforces its lower levels. In fact, when seen from above, the organisation of the first level of the castell presents some real similiarities to this natural element.
The color blue was used to relate the conifer cone to the pinyes of the Castellers de Paris.
