Buccella signifies ‘mouthful’ in Latin. The inspirationfor Buccella’s logo is a streamlined sommelier's tastevin, a symbol for a‘mouthful of excellence’. These sentiments form the concept of Buccella’s winebottle design.
 
Engaged to create an image of bold excellence, UXUScreated a simple yet strong identity that reflects the quality and philosophyof the winery. The identificationconsists of a wax seal embossed with the Buccella logo applied to a paper labeldisplaying only the vintage. A symbol of distinction, the wax seal certifiesauthenticity, while adding a tactile and dimensional quality to the identity. The blank space on the label allows forthe customer to personalize their bottle with a message. Mirroring this design,Cuvée Katrina Eileen, Buccella’s super premium Cabernet Sauvignon replaces thered wax seal with a luxurious handcrafted gold blown-glass medallion andgold-leafed neck ring. The bottle is presented in an oak box with replica gold seal.
MerusWinery 10 th Anniversary Packaging

To celebrate the 10 th anniversary of MerusWines, UXUS were engaged to create a unique bottle that both marked theoccasion and reflected the history and quality of the California cult winebrand.
 
The resulting design captures the spirit of theoccasion, and the Merus brand, through its aesthetic properties and uniquecomposition. Expressing undiluted sophistication, the black of the glass bottlefeatures an oversize etching of the Merus logo, a symbol of permanence thatechoes the philosophy of the winery. The collectable bottle further featuresgold leaf etched font and a dipped wax cap to be broken ceremoniously. Thecreation of this anniversary bottle coincides with the opening of the UXUSdesigned Merus Winery in Napa Valley, California.
 
Three Rivers Packaging

Engaged to create astrong and coherent packaging concept for the Three Rivers wine portfolio, UXUSfound inspiration in the Three Rivers name, which was translated into a simple,yet iconic three-stripe logo. The result is a set of labels with three coloredbands, a distilled symbol for three rivers, edged in gold. Each wine variety isidentified by a different color, a graphic mechanism that both distinguisheseach type, but forms a visually dominant identity when the bottles are aligned.

The graphic conceptfor this label was to create a classic yet contemporary look for this brand.The U shape becomes a very distinctive classical V shape associated withmany of the finest luxury brands. The strategy was to create a very distinctivehigh brand perception that is easily recognizable by the customer.
