Branding
The first step in any campaign is developing an ID and look for the campaign. Now... this process was challenge by an execrated timeline. Between the BMS PR and Corporate Marketing Departments, this campaign was approved after lunch and had to be out by EOD. That is right... this creative came together in an afternoon.
Knowing this would ultimately have to be approved by the Preds I began by reviewing their brand guidelines and elements. Taking the color palette, pick shape, tri-stars and head assets, I started rough assembly. Hierarchy wise I knew that the promotional night titling needed to be primary. From there, the corporate sponsorship worked best as a simple banner and the inclusion of Bridgestone Arena fit nicely. Originally this design had all negative space at the top, but felt empty. As a last minute addition, I found a photo of the Nashville skyline and traced it inside Illustrator.
Social Creative
Social graphic fell together very quickly. There was no reason to over complicate the creative. I had a cellphone photo from a goal (Yay for nose-bleed seats) and I through a duotone filter and flat grade. Finished with the important details and athlete headshots for vertical sizes.
