Under the guidance of chef and previous owner Chris Bruno, Brookfield, CT-based Fiddler's Restaurant was rebranded Chris's American Restaurant in 2003 and is now operating as 189 Sports Cafe. For many years, patrons of Fiddler's Restaurant/Chris’s American Restaurant enjoyed internationally influenced American dishes in a comfortable and inviting setting.

Creating a pleasant atmosphere in a restaurant requires attention to specific elements, including lighting, color, texture, and music. The lighting in a restaurant should support the restaurant’s theme. For example, chandelier lighting would suit a romantic or elegant restaurant, while natural lighting presents a positive perspective in a family-oriented establishment.

The colors in a restaurant should match the company’s branding. Color is an important part of the atmosphere because color is believed to impact the appetite. Cool colors, such as green and blue, are thought to reduce hunger, while warm colors, such as red, orange, and yellow, are thought to enhance the appetite.

The music in a restaurant should provide a creative connection between the establishment’s environment, its culture, and its menu. Significantly impacting emotions and helping build memories, music is an important element of a restaurant's atmosphere.
