Animation key terms
FPS
-FPS stand for frames per second, a measurement for how many unique consecutive images a camera can handle each second. Low-end digital still cameras typically have a frame rate of 1fps. Low end digital video cameras typically have a frame rate of 30fps.

Frames
-A keyframe in animation and filmmaking is a drawing that defines the starting and ending points of any smooth transition. The drawings are called "frames" because their position in time is measured in frames on a strip of film.

Underlay
In animation, an underlay is a specific part of the décor placed behind the main animation

Ones, Twos, and Threes
- Ones, twos, and threes refer to how long a single image holds on camera for in relationship to frames per second.

Scenes
-A scene is a single event or conversation between characters, occurring during one period of time and in one single place, that moves the story forward toward a climax and resolution.

Panels
A panel however is one of these white squares and in traditional storyboarding it would be also a, you know, white rectangle or square and what that delineates is an action and there can be multiple actions in a scene or shot.

Storyboard
A sequence of drawings, typically with some directions and dialogue, representing the shots planned for a movie or television production.

Animatic
A preliminary version of a movie, produced by shooting successive sections of a storyboard and adding a soundtrack.

Persistence of vision
Persistence of vision refers to the optical illusion whereby multiple discrete images blend into a single image in the human mind and believed to be the explanation for motion perception in cinema and animated films.
