Each designer did their best work when they were working for or with a certain entity. This collaboration, or synergy, led to the designers creating work that would not have been the same without the second party.

 

The four DVDs are titled:

Synergy of Design + Music: Peter Saville & Factory Records
Synergy of Design + Poetry: Stefan Sagmeister & Lou Reed
Synergy of Design + Politics: Shepard Fairy & Barack Obama

 

Each cover features a non objective motif that references the work that the designers created through their synergy with the second party. The back cover features a venn diagram with duotone images of the designer and their collaborator.
