Under the leadership of chef and then-owner Chris Bruno, Fiddler's Restaurant in Brookfield, Connecticut, was renamed Chris's American Restaurant in 2003 and is currently known as 189 Sports Cafe. Chris's American Restaurant was known for serving creative American dishes in a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

To establish a restaurant that guests enjoy and trust, it’s important to that both kitchen and service staff members consistently observe food safety protocols. It can be easy to accidently contaminate food in restaurants, but there a number of basic practices that restaurants can implement to keep food and guests safe. For example, condiments should always be kept in covered containers and served in the original container, or another receptacle that will prevent contamination.

Food safety guidelines also dictate that food shouldn’t be re-served if it was unused or returned by a customer, but restaurants can re-serve prepackaged, unopened food if it’s in acceptable condition. This includes certain condiments, such as ketchup bottles and condiment packets, as well as wrapped crackers.
