Andrea Horváth's profile

Founded in 1875, the Liszt Academy is the only institution bearing the name of Ferenc Liszt in which the great composer himself had an active role in establishing. The university, which has been functioning for more than 140 years, is the bastion of music teaching and musicology in Hungary. The Grand Hall in the Art Nouveau conservatory (1907) on Liszt Ferenc Square earned itself a reputation globally as a concert centre. Every six months the Academy publishes its high quality magazine which has its core theme for every issue. The second half of 2016 became the magazine of WOMEN for which we created an exciting photo collection that was inspired by the roles and the history of women in music and an interpretation of the inner-Liszt in female musicians and composers.

Ferenc refers to Ferenc Liszt and Franciska is the female equivalent of Ferenc.
This one is an homage to the famous photo of the great Ferenc Liszt, taken in his Budapest residence on Andrássy street that functions now as a museum.
