Wangerooge January 2018
In january I was on Wangerooge for three days and took some pictures there.Wangerooge is an island in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea within the same named National Park. It is the easternmost of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands and with 7.94 square kilometers the second smallest inhabited island of this group. Wangerooge is the only one of the inhabited East Frisian Islands that does not belong to the historical territory of East Frisia, but is historically part of the Frisian Jeverland. The central economic factor of the car-free island is tourism today, and it is also a North Sea spa. The island of Wangerooge is a unitary municipality in the district of Friesland in Lower Saxony and has almost 1300 inhabitants.
