I've been longing to create a loop animation for a while now since I began working full time as a Flash animator. I thought I should start off with something simple and not too time consuming.

In this case, this loop describes what I want- need from work: a long coffee break.

Here we are, with a frothed milk man taking a skinny dip in a demitasse cup.

Hard to believe that sketching an espresso machine would be challenging. Not to mention where the coffee comes out from! I hardly drink coffee that's for sure. My only experience with coffee is instant coffee. And I'd probably set off a lot of coffee purists here.

On the flip side, I did learn a thing or two about espresso; it's the Godzilla of coffee.

After I was satisfied with the placement of everything, I moved on to the rough animation.

After sorting out the animation's timing, my next challenge was colour correction. I was on the fence whether to give the animation a morning or an afternoon setting. It doesn't help either that I have poor choices of colour.

All coming together.

The animation is perfect. So, what now? Well, it still needs more reviewing.

I found out the steam was too opaque when I did a line test, so, I added a blur effect on After Effects.

The final stage was adding sfx on Premiere Pro.
