'Mutatus Aut Mori', Latin for Change or Die was an experiment in mutating sea-life with skulls. Evolutionary piracy at it's best. This project satrted as a brief idea and grew like a virus culminating in illustrations presented here. 

Drawing completely in Adobe Ilustrator, the technical goal of the project was to see how far I could push one colour textures and use limited colour palettes to create something new, that felt old.

The end result, art prints suitable for Captain Nemo's lounge or posters at a travelling carnival.

Through the creative process, other elements were discovered, some used in the finished illustrations, others lying in wait to be used elsewhere.
