Microsoft Philanthropies World Refugee Day

Of the more than 65 million refugees in the world, 10 million are 18 or younger. On World Refugee Day, Microsoft wanted to bring awareness to the lives of refugee children, who despite the hardships they have endured, have hope for their futures. Microsoft partners with nonprofit organizations to provide digital skills, resources, and training to help these young refugees rebuild their lives and achieve their dreams.

On World Refugee Day, Microsoft displayed vignettes of several young refugees on a large cube and on the street level screens in front of the Microsoft Technology Center in Times Square to promote awareness that Microsoft is helping shape the lives of young refugees around the world. The campaign also launched through social channels, inspiring people to get involved by celebrating real stories about refugee youth and their dreams for a better future.
