Sculpey Clay Mask
Illustrating a Three-Dimensional Contrast Between Geometric and Organic Forms
I was challenged to create a mask that explores the the possibilities of the three-dimensional contrasts in form. I chose to illustrate a three-dimensional contrast between geometric and organic forms. I did not want to focus on distorting one shape specifically which is why I used the frame of the mask itself to primarily distinguish the transformation from a geometric to organic. I chose to add additional organic forms in a three-dimensional way on the mask to strengthen the magnitude of the organic side of the mask.

Before creating the final mask, I played around with different contrasts on a 4x4 square piece of Sculpey clay.
