Primo Levi es uno de los grandes escritores a recordar de la literatura del siglo xx. Entre sus grandes obras podemos destacar la Trilogía Auschwitz en el cual, se encuentre el título: Si esto es un hombre, libro cuya disposición meramente testimonial deja uno de los documentos más fiables de la situación vivida. En el diseño de su portada se abogará por una dirección enteramente tipográfica: en torno a la semántica de ese terror. En este caso los elementos de ortotipografía sirven de símbolo para la construcción del mensaje.
