To design for the future, it is important to look at theories and technologies, anticipated for that time. Also, solving problems that are faced in kitchens nowadays is a key point.
In the kitchen of an Indian household, the prospect of a shift from traditional Indian cooking, to fast food seems highly unlikely. However, the time available to be spent in the cooking process might face a decline. Longer work hours will play a major role in the daily lives of people.
Making the cooking process faster, less messy and more efficient, for working individuals, is the main objective of the product being designed. The main area of intervention is the preparatory process as it is the most time consuming one.
