Environmental Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced a public call for distribution of 2016. Revolving Fund funds for the financing of energy efficiency projects. Revolving Fund for the Environmental Fund of the FB&H was established within the Project Component 3 (Legislative framework and financial mechanisms) of the Green Economic Development Project - GED. It should be noted that in addition to public facilities, through this Public call, Revolving Fund funds could be awarded also to non-public companies on the territory of the Federation.

Establishment of the Revolving Fund is big step forward for the GED Project, given that thus ensures sustainability of the entire system. In this way it is possible to perform the reconstruction of public buildings under favorable conditions, while providing better conditions and comfort for users of public facilities.
Together with the institutionalization of energy management, these projects will enable better management and use of public budgets and thus ensure a better future for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We also hope that soon we will form a similar financial mechanisms within the framework of the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Srpska.
Green Economic Development Project for the third year is implemented by Energy and Environment Sector within UNDP BiH in cooperation with partners: the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, the Swedish Embassy in BiH, the Environmental Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency of the Republic of Srpska. The main objective of the project is to create a favorable environment for investments in energy efficiency projects and sustainability of such a system, including the creation of new green jobs.
