Since the 1970s, the "Blue Bock" - an old, unused prefabricated building - has shaped Magdeburg's city center. With the purchase of the ground and the demolition of the old building, the Städtische Werke Magdeburg end the standstill: something new is being created on the site for Magdeburg and its citizens. SWM are building their new administrative building with shop and restaurant areas and are thus part of a new success story of the city. The Annual Report 2016 addresses this demolition and departure into a new era.
