This is my idea for the redesign of the Rayo Vallecano de Madrid crest.
I decided to create a symbol that was modern and apart from everything that the club has done until today. With this redesign, I wanted a greater recognition of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid crest, standing out even when compared to the two biggest clubs in the city of Madrid (Real and Atletico). Such a modernization, not only reinforces the idea that Rayo is a club that thinks about the future, but also that it is willing to cut with ideas from the past, and with this attracting new players and even new investors.

As for the crest, I decided to focus only on the "ray", forgetting the coat of arms of Vallecas (used in the current badge). I intended to focus on a more stylized "ray", for a greater recognition of the club's main symbol.
Then, I went for a rounded shape as it is more modern and easier to apply, both in kits and throughout the club communication devices.

Esta é a minha ideia para o redesign do emblema do Rayo Vallecano de Madrid.
Resolvi criar um símbolo que fosse moderno e que fugisse de tudo aquilo que o clube já fez até hoje. Pretendia com este redesign um maior reconhecimento do Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, que se destacasse mesmo quando comparado com os dois maiores clubes da cidade de Madrid (Real e Atlético). Uma modernização deste tipo não só reforça a ideia de que o Rayo é um clube que pensa no futuro, mas também que está disposto a cortar com ideias passadas, podendo assim atrair novos jogadores e até novos investidores.

Quanto ao emblema, resolvi focar-me apenas no "raio", esquecendo o brasão da localidade de Vallecas. Pretendia com este foco num "raio" mais estilizado, um maior reconhecimento do símbolo principal do clube.
Em segundo lugar, optei por um formato arredondado pois é mais moderno e mais fácil de aplicar, quer nos kits como em toda a comunicação do clube.
