WOOD

A series of photographs named Wood is a photographic recording of a real installation.I placed parts of tree trunks into the interior of my home. I was inspired by a human need to collect different objects, surround themselves by those and create various collections. The work is based on my family’s interest in collecting wood. I placed a discovered trunk, stump and branch to the interior, so that they give the impression of something absurd, inappropriate and horrifying. It can be also understood as an embodiment of a taboo problem which the occupants of the flat can’t get rid of while there is no other way than accepting its weird and uncomfortable presence.
