Daily Dose - January 14, 2018 - This is an image from my very first professional photo shoot back in 2007. The licensing of this image by 3M for a lint roller package is what convinced me to become a shooter and started me on this amazing life journey.
I remember setting up a sweep on my dining room table and borrowing strobes from my brother. Dear husband Kevin did his best to wrangle the cats and cue them into the camera. This sweet boy was named Bismarck and he has since passed, but he will always remain a special cat to me.
Looking back, I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, shooting for amazing well known clients like Purina, Target and Pfizer, having a book published by Penguin Random House, traveling around the Midwest shooting all manner of livestock, and meeting so many kind people everywhere we went. I have also had the chance to photograph 1000’s of dogs and cats over the years and enjoy the many many friendships that grew from that experience.
Photography has also opened new doors for me as well, as I am now also creating surface designs which are images and designs that are used on products for the consumer market.
I am so blessed that I am able to do what I love everyday and am lucky to work with incredibly talented people. Big thanks to all who helped me on the way and looking forward to the the next time we all get to create something wonderful!
Also not forgetting to thank the Big Fellow, which is how I refer to Something Greater than Ourselves, from whom all blessing flow. So blessed and lucky indeed!
