Kshanika : Signature of folk floor art in India

India has a rich culture of folk floor art. It exists in different forms in different states. It is called Rangoli, Mandana, Kollam and many such varied names and each one has its own unique flavor and significances.

This art of every other household instills in us feeling of joy by letting our creative energies flow while making it using very basic elements like dots and lines. Innumerable designs have been created using these elements and our generation continues to contribute.

But all these varied forms of the art remind us of the "ephemeral nature of the world".
It symbolizes the impermanence around and that tomorrow will be a new beginning.
It symbolizes beauty in the impermanence... "Kshanika"
