Laura C. Sanders Elementary School (Homestead, FL)

Although I no longer work for City Year Miami, I still try to remain involved with their work in the communities of Miami-Dade County. Every year for MLK Day we celebrate by completing a beautification service project at a different school. The project aims to revitalize underfunded schools by creating gardens, playgrounds, and painting fun murals across the entire campus to give students something to be excited about. This year, I was lucky enough to be asked to create a mural for the cafeteria.
