Mutate: An Interactive Experience

Mutate.
"Change in form or nature."

The interactive installation chronicles the story of a man propelled through tragedy on one Autumn night. The idea of the "mutation" applies not only to the constantly shifting hallway but also to the man himself. Through affliction, turmoil, and guilt, he undergoes a transformation into his state of despair.
The Experience.
Projected on the large walls of a basement classroom at Ryerson University,  the project transports participants into a seemingly vacant apartment complex. They travel back and forth through a constantly changing hallway as they learn about the tragic tale of one of the residents.
The Code.
The project utilizes Keystone, Sound, Video, and KinectV2 Libraries to create an immersive and reactive installation. Every element in the experience is tied directly to and powered by Processing and written by myself.

Some of the code written in order to track a user's movement.
Thanks.
I want to give thanks to everyone who supported me in this endeavor and to you for taking the time to check out the project.

I also want to give special thanks to my good friend, Massimo Barreca who created original compositions for this project.
