Sacred Dinner Society.
Sacred Dinner Society is conceived by chef Cesar Bravo as an exclusive gatherings space in which patrons can have a surprisingly diverse, rich and unique culinary experience. The menu is composed by seasonal dishes made from local and artisanal ingredients, with an interior design that draws upon an interesting conceptual tension between classic elegant ornaments and raw elements including concrete floors, exposed brick walls, and reclaimed wood.
Our branding proposal revolves around the symbolism found in the often devotional and secular elements of the Dutch and Flemish Still Life paintings, we juxtaposed these allegorical creations with the vibrant, edgy, and irregular qualities of graffiti to give it a modern touch that also reflects the street art aspect of this project, creating a balanced intersection of classic and urban street styles.
We created a custom logotype inspired by Didot typefaces, and their increasing stroke contrasts and condensed armatures, a choice that will complement the project by giving it a stylistic tone of classic elegance. We paired it with a symbol that bolsters and encapsulates the concept of a fraternal secret society.
