Concept Art: Visual Storytelling

Activity 1:
Intro to Storytelling
Learning story structure and developing a character
For the development of our story, I mainly helped pitch ideas and drew what I imagined what our character looked like in my head.

Activity 2:
Storyboarding
Creating visuals for our story using shots and angles
For this activity, I was assigned to do beats 3 and 7. Beat 3 being when the dog first encounters the sock and beat 7, when the dog leaves the sock. Oddly, these scenes go against each other, but they also compliment each other. Since I was in charge of these scenes, you can see how both beats have similar pattern shots and sequences, whenever one portion of the story ends, another one starts (him meeting another mutant creature).

Activity 3:
Colour Scripts
Interpreting stories through colour
Shots of a couple of references we used within out colour script. We mainly looked into colours found in cartoons (preferably in a high school setting) due to the story's art style.
Palette
DOP sheets and thumbnails for the added scenes
