Marginalised explores the needs of the refugee, migrant and asylum seekers. The CALD (Culturally and linguistically diverse) community are the forefront of this project, in hopes to raise awareness of their presence in the process of planning big cities. The flow of the map starts with emotional and physical issues a person settling in a new city may face, then posing potential ways this can be combatted. Additionally, government services within NSW are also mapped in pink, using fingerprints as a visual response to how a minority groups resort to finding their identity in an institutionalised way.

Government services however contribute little to making genuine connections beyond the agenda of the program. There is often a disconnect between the marginalised and the larger community.

How can a city go beyond providing agenda–based services for the growing population of migrants?
How can a city therefore be strengthened to welcome waves of culturally diverse and vulnerable people?
