Scott Walker Dress-Up Doll

Dress up doll | 8.5" x 11" printable pdf | March 2011

February 2011 Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker introduced his Budget Repair Bill which would strip collective bargaining rights from public sector employees. Being a Wisconsin native and knowing many working in the public sector I was quite outraged by the governor's actions. The following is my response.
My initial thought about Walker was that the emperor does indeed have clothes but they're all bought and paid for by corporate interests. The most effective way to illustrate this would be to design a Scott Walker dress-up doll.
My specific intent was to ridicule Walker. The drawings are overly cartoony and the tone is very sarcastic. The piece is still overall more light-hearted than some of my other political work, which tends to be darker. I've come to view Walker as a clown.
Three unique suits for Scott to wear!
Fun labor-busting accessories!
The project is designed to be emailed out and printed off on a home printer. I decided it would be fun to encourage users to make their own suit so I included a blank template.
Cut-out.
Giving a speech.
Using the template.
Now this is a good look for Scott!
