Each novel packet includes an original piano score, a sample lesson plan, a sample paper connecting the score to the novel, and original artwork. The music is simple enough for students who are inexperienced with music to comprehend with a short lesson in vocabulary and interpretation included in each packets sample lesson plan. Additionally, each lesson plan cites the specific SOLs addressed.
The objective was to convey both the musical interpretation and the themes of each book with the cover art so that students could refer to the artwork, reinforcing the learning experience.
