Chocolate Packaging
Project: Luxury Chocolate Packaging.
Challenge: To create a luxury packaging system for chocolate that wasn’t overly ornate.
Solution: Theses chocolates are for the purists, keeping to dark chocolate, so the idea was to use black as the main color, with emphasis on the year, 1866, the last year that only dark chocolate was made.  Since an element of faux is being used with a metallic foil, I wanted to keep that element as a surprise and use it sparingly to create an unexpected mix of luxury and warmth with the uncoated paper. The inside of the boxes were done using a turquoise blue. This color was picked up from the foils and also compliments the dark chocolate inside by allowing the product to come forward. I created two ways of delivery for the product; one is through a square box, the other is with a wrapper. This is to allow for the different types of products such as truffles, which are more delicate to be transported. The bars work for more solid products such as dark chocolate with coconut.
