This illustration was created for an annual fundraiser for a big cat rescue. The first photo was taken at the rescue then edited in Photoshop to remove the chain link fencing. The image was then taken into Illustrator when it was illustrated using only straight lines to create multiple triangle shapes. Finally, color was added recreating colors, highlights and shading found on the original photo. Other brighter colors such as yellow and orange were added for contrast in the main and eyes. Lastly, complimentary blues were added to the background for maximum contrast against the figure of the lion.
