This work aims to understand the evolution of urban mobility and public transport in the city and the impact they had on urban planning. To then meet current challenges of mobility management by the development of a multimodal transport hub that returns the metropolitan dimension of these transport places and activities in the city of Oran

The extension of the city of Oran has pushed the agglomerations
to absorb the agricultural land of the south (Messreghine) and the east
(Belgaid), giving birth to new attempts at urban mobility such as the multimodal exchanges on a metropolitan scale.

The Urban center BELGAID one of the most attractive network point in Oran , also one of the multifoncional complexe in the East: Metro station, University, Stadium ,leisure center, park ..

challenges and opportunities

The main idea is to create the interconnection between the surrounding poles and the urban environment by positioning the access nodes towards the center of the multimodal exchange pole, the two diagonals generating two main axes.

1 / the axis of the university: connects the university with the multimodal station which gives a splendid view towards the mountain of the lions.

2 / the axis of the station: which crosses the pole from north to south passing through the first axis of the university creating a point of convergence of two main boulevards and cycling paths.
