Package Design
The idea behind the simplicity of the packaging was the fact that you could leave the box in your kitchen, almost on display, as the design and colour scheme is almost an artwork.  The target audience is therefore young adults, who appreciate finding art in the simplest of things and enjoy having a sugary cereal every now and then. The design also appeals to children as there is a cut out section on the back, which allows for children to cut out and assemble Sam, the Toucan mascot of Froot Loops.

The cereal box is more of a square shape, rather than the usual rectangle and is therefore easy to store and hold. Both folds on the sides of the top of the box have fold lines which are meant to be folded in order to create a funnel like feature in order to create a mess free flow of cereal.
