Any authentic Artist has a principle function that is vital, relative to everyone who shares the planet, and that is to share the light they have seen with the most distant man. As hyper-sensitive as any Artist is to his/her surroundings, their contribution is much more meaningful than just decoration. Adams says: “I paint and create my dreams and visions with the solemn belief that creation itself is providing an important message through me for humanity.”
My latest Masterpiece

“Transcendence” - 27”x 38.5” ( 600 mm x 1100 mm) Original oil painting on triple oil primed fine linen canvas by Loren D. Adams

What makes this painting outstanding is the quality of the lighting on the moving waters, the power of the ocean, and the all too apparent fragility of the human condition. The maelstrom itself is depicted as being over 300 ft. in diameter and the center of the abyss is filled with stars. Transcendence is the only option, lying beyond the limits of ordinary experience.
The theme was inspired by current events and the music of Ludwig V. Beethoven's 3rd Symphony, the Eroica in Eb Major, Opus 55.

The name of the 120 ft. Brigantine is "Eroica," flying the Italian flag, since even Beethoven's music was scored in Italian. The current tack of this Brig may actually keep her away from the glory hole and pass her off to the starboard as the surge to he right passes under. The Captain is still aboard in in the Aft crow's nest…

We too, as a society, must never doubt or lose our faith that we're on the right tack––when we are keeping the faith in an un-wavering motion. Appearances can be deceptive if we're not fully awake. To stay awake, we need only remember how truly powerful faith is!
“Transcendence” - 27”x 38.5” ( 600 mm x 1100 mm) Original oil painting by Loren D. Adams - in it's own fully restored, early 19th Century museum frame…

"I have found a source for a similar frame for the Limited Edition"

As the Artist, I can tell when I look at the completed work that the feelings of everyone in the life boat were captured in a way that reaches the soul of anyone who looks upon the painting. The message is also the title. It portrays the depth of what transcendence means to everyone, in a single moment frozen in time.
There are 27 people, men, women, children, and one baby in this Life Boat named "Opus 55" and as you will notice, the only people rowing are women. I never question my dreams and visions, therefore
I can not tell anyone why that is, I just noticed it myself as a general phenomenon.  I also represented as many different kinds of people as I could think of, to illustrate that this image is about all of us.

The timing of events and natural forces come together with the way I’m feeling about my own perspective of what’s important to Society. “I must paint what is concerning me, and this generally has more to do with what is concerning everyone, rather than my own personal day to day life."
