The Japan I know

The Japan I know
Japan is a place that i've heard so many great things about, the friendly people, the vibrant culture and the way of life. It's a dream come true to finally be in the place that I've only idol upon. What I've gained in my time in this wonderful country is something I'll label as priceless, an experience you can never garner from books or travel documentaries.
Just roaming the streets on it's own is a treat to my eyes, people with stories in every corner, waiting to unfold thru the viewfinder of my camera. Unfold it did, and it was beautiful.
The Japanese are diligent, hardworking, and have great sense of pride in what they do or what they want to be. Thats not to say that they look down on anybody else, in fact they happily accept the difference of every individual. You want to take a smoke? Here's a smoking area seat in a fast food outlet. You want to pleasure yourself? Here's a 6 storey building with all the porn you'll ever need. You want to dye your hair pink and not feel out of place? You're already there.
This place is vibrant, modern, but it is also everything else. Culture is in the roots, tradition is the way of life. It's amazing to see a country so in touch with globalisation and advanced with technology still keeping true to who they are.
It's always too short of a time being in a new place. But for the time I've been there, it's been great, and definitely a part of me has been left behind in Japan, waiting for me to pick it back up when I return.
