''Speak, so that I can see you.'' Performance, Nicosia Buffer Zone, 2017.
We invite you at the Ledra street checkpoint on Tuesday 22 of August at 7 p.m., for this live group performance / intervention.
A group of people, mainly Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots, living in the island of Cyprus, they come together for the realization of this live group performance / intervention, at the buffer zone and in the heart of the city of Nicosia, there where all of our wishes and voices for union need to be seen and heard.
This group performance is an offering for the people of Cyprus – and anyone else who experience borders, anywhere in the world – and is led by the artist Christina Georgiou, with the kind support of Unite Cyprus Now.
The performers will meet for the first time and take part in a mini workshop at the same day prior to the event, for the preparation of the whole action.
We look forward to share this experience with everyone!
*The title has been taken from the very phrase of the ancient Greek philosopher, Socrates.

«Μίλα, για να σε δω.»
Σας προσκαλούμε στο σημείο διέλευσης της οδού Λύδρας την Τρίτη 22 Αυγούστου στις 7 μ.μ. για μία ζωντανή performance / παρέμβαση.
Μία ομάδα ανθρώπων, κυρίως Ελληνοκυπρίων και Τουρκοκυπρίων, που ζουν στο νησί της Κύπρου, έρχονται μαζί για την πραγματοποίηση αυτής της ζωντανής performance / παρέμβασης που θα γίνει πάνω στη νεκρή ζώνη και στην καρδιά της πόλης της Λευκωσίας, εκεί όπου όλες οι ευχές και οι φωνές μας για ένωση πρέπει να φανούν και να ακουστούν.
Αυτή η ομαδική performance αποτελεί μία προσφορά για τους ανθρώπους της Κύπρου – και οποιονδήποτε άλλο βιώνει τα σύνορα, σε οποιοδήποτε μέρος του κόσμου – και καθοδηγείται από την καλλιτέχνη Χριστίνα Γεωργίου, με την ευγενική υποστήριξη του Unite Cyprus Now.
Οι performers θα συναντηθούν για πρώτη φορά και θα συμμετάσχουν σε ένα μίνι εργαστήριο την ίδια μέρα ακριβώς πριν από την εκδήλωση, για την προετοιμασία της όλης δράσης.

Sizleri 22 Ağustos, Salı günü Lokmacı geçiş noktasında saat 19:00da gerçekleşecek grup performansına davet ederiz.
Çoğunluğu Kıbrıslıtürk ve Kıbrıslırumlardan oluşan, Kıbrıs'ta yaşayan bir grup insan olarak, ara bölge ve Lefkoşa'nın kalbinde gerçekleşecek bu canlı grup performansı ile, birleşme için seslerimizin ve dileklerimizin duyulmasına ve görülmesine ihtiyaç duymaktayız.
Bu grup performansı Kıbrıs adasının insanlarına -ve dünyanın herhangi bir yerinde yaşayan, ve sınır deneyimi olan herkese- bir sunu olup, sanatçı Christina Georgiou liderliğinde ve Unite Cyprus Now insiyatifinin içten desteği ile gerçekleşmektedir.
Performans sanatçıları ilk kez bir araya gelecek, etkinlik öncesinde aynı günü gerçekleşecek kısa bir atölye çalışması ile eylemin tümüne hazırlanacaklardır.
