Illustration of Iemanjá. Iemanjá is the Orixá of the seas and oceans, and perhaps one of the most well known of the Yoruba deities celebrated in Brazil. One of the reasons is that Iemanjá is often connected to the Virgin Mary - due to syncretization. Worshippers often craft little boats with lit candles on them that are sent into the ocean as offerings for good fortune.
Hand to vector process. This illustration changed a lot during the process, mainly in order for it to be cohesive with the other from the same series.
