Have a look at the bottom of the refilled cartridge. Over here you will be able to find six copper contact strips that are located at the bottom of the cartridge. Now place the cartridge in front of you and the copper contact strips should face you. The small squares that are part of these strips are called as contacts.

Now place a piece of tape on the top contact in the second column.

After this, the cartridge has to be placed in the printer. There will be a cartridge error message that needs to be ignored from your end. The printer will be able to print a test page.
The cartridge needs to be removed from the printer and leave the tape on.

Now place a different piece of tape over the top contact that is located in the sixth row.

The cartridge has to be placed in the printer. If you receive any kind of error message then you should ignore it.

Remove the cartridge from the printer and also the tape.

The final step would be to place the cartridge back into the printer. Now you will be able to read the 'Full' level of ink.
