Audubon: Drawn to Nature Exhibition

Audubon: Drawn to Nature was an exhibition about the life of John James Audubon and his journey to make lifelike bird drawings. The title treatment was created by pulling feather patterns from multiple birds that are represented in the show, and combining them together to develop a new pattern.
The didactics included the pattern from the title treatment as a callback, and the black frame was to illustrate the naturalist side of Audubon.
To draw guests up to the exhibition and to market the show, on Floor 1 near the Welcome Desk was a wingspan activity with birds chosen from Audubon's prints.
Reproduced with permission of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
