BALÓN CDMX 2016 - Urban Art Exhibit

BALÓN CDMX 2016 was an urban art exhibit where 63 giant fiberglass soccer balls were intervened by well known Mexican artists (plastic artists, graphic designers, illustrators and sculptors.) These monumental pieces were placed in the most prominent street of Mexico City, Paseo de la Reforma, in order to greet the 66th FIFA Congress. The exhibit made the scene from May 8, 2016 to July 2,2016. 

The artists later intervened several oficial sized fiberglass soccer balls, forming a collection of 163 original art pieces. These were publicly auctioned on April 8, 2017 in order to raise money and awareness for different autism foundations including CAT (Centro Autismo Teletón.) 

I was head designer and art director for this event. Some of the graphic material used for BALÓN CDMX 2016 is presented below.
